All went well...

Today has been a long day...I couldn't sleep last night as I was nervous for this morning. We arrived at the surgery center at 6:45 am and left at 10:45 am. Norah had a hard time coming off the anesthesia (so hard to see as a parent...) but other than that it was not too bad. When they removed her tonsils (which were super huge) and adenoids....her adenoids were actually actively infected so they gave her antibiotics during the surgery and then we have a prescription for antibiotics and pain medicine. Today she has been fighting taking a nap so she went to bed at 6:30 and was out! She had soft foods today and seems to be okay. I hope she gets a good night's sleep! I really think that once she heals...she is going to feel so much better!

You can't see it in the above picture but she is watching my IPOD touch...she has it in front of the blanket. I rented the movie Curious George on it this morning and it was a lifesaver today...she watched in throughout the morning.
This is to show you all the stickers she got today....we went in her nightgown this morning and they let her keep it on during surgery instead of putting a hospital gown on....they kept giving her princess stickers and she would put them on herself...she is too cute! You can tell she is tired in this pic and looks like she is sleeping but she is not...she is fighting the tiredness. :)
On another note...running is back in full gear for the upcoming half marathons for me. I actually got in all my runs last week too. And the big news is...Jeff went on a run last night! I love it! Well I need to go give Norah her medicine...they suggested that we give it to her through tonight as to keep it in her system. Hopefully she will feel better tomorrow!
