I started this blog in 2010 as a personal scrapbook to keep my pictures and memories in one spot. I wish I had started it sooner! There are a ton of grammatical errors and over usage of the ..., but I warned everyone with the first post that I write as I think and never worried about those details. So if those things will drive ya crazy...you have been warned.
I graduated from Clemson University in 1999 with a degree in Financial Management. After working in the finance/insurance/legal field for 10 years, I had my precious Norah and stayed home for a bit. Then I went back to school and received my graduate certificate in Teaching Middle School Mathematics. I worked in school in Charlotte and Pawleys Island for 4 years before deciding to stay at home again to be with Norah more. After a year at home...I knew I wanted to get back into working again but needed the perfect schedule. I was lucky enough to get a job at a preschool where I worked 8:30 am to 12 pm each school day so I was able to still have time for Norah and her activities. Then I briefly went back to teaching middle school math for a little over a year in the mist of the Pandemic. Now I work at a public high school in the virtual lab so I can balance family life, getting my Masters Degree, handling everything involving my mother who suffers from Dementia, and still try to have a life too!
For my reading and personal life, I use my Instagram account @carolinehoppereads so head there for the latest!
