Well to catch up on the week...Wednesday...studying and then took an exam in class, Thursday-work and then date night!!! Friday-cleaning, studying...the usual. Saturday-Ran 7 miles and went to a 1st birthday party.
So out of the list we will talk about the fun stuff. First Date Night...It was glorious (say this like Will Ferrell on "Old School"). My neighbors watched Norah and Jeff and I went to the local sushi place right near our house...Wild East Bistro. Thursday night it had $2 beers and $2 house wine, buy one specialty roll and get the second one half off and I had a coupon!! The rolls were so good...we got the Carmel, Tiger, Valentine, and Vietnam...I highly recommend! We were only gone about an hour but it was amazing that in that one hour we felt so refreshed. It was nice to have one on one time without any distractions. We have totally decided that we must make an effort to have date night (just the two of us) once a month. And a big thanks to my neighbors for watching Norah!!!!
Today was my 7 mile run and it was great! I headed to the greenway and got it done. I love the greenway...and I love people watching while I run. There are people with dogs, children, walkers, runner, bikers...it is great. I even saw some of the same people that I saw last week! I got back and sat in a cold water bath...not brave enough to put ice in the water yet but it hit the spot. No soreness or pain at all! I do need to get in serious gear since the half marathon is like a month away. I am completely aware that with all the craziness in my life lately this might not be my best half but that is okay. I hope that the one I plan to do in January and February will be my best ones for the year...this one I hope to just get back in gear. Of course...I just like to run so as long as I finish them...it is fun to me! And I love that my friend Meredyth ran 7.32 miles in her prep for her first half-marathon...she is awesome! We both talked about being hungry since we burned over 700 calories...but we both fed our hungry beasts today!
Well I'm off to do some laundry, make my meal plan for the week, and get my grocery list together and then call it an early night...I took today off doing school work so I'm back to studying tomorrow. I'm going to try to get to Trader Joe's early in the AM before the crowds.
Oh yeah...update on puppies....Finn's ear flopped over!....Finn is 19 lbs....Darcy is 32 lbs...they get haircuts again next week...Finn gets fixed on Oct 1 (Darcy is already done.)

She loves riding her bike...sweet, neighbor William behind her. I did have to get her a new bike helmet as the one we had had gotten too small! She definitely has a Hoppe head! :)
This is a pic of us on Date Night...it is a random pic but I actually took it myself just holding out the camera that is why it is a weird angle...Jeff says he looks weird in it...I think he looks precious! (I mean this was not the place to ask someone to take our pic....I think they thought we were strange enough taking the pic I did.)
Norah at the party today, they had a small jump house. The party was a "tailgate" theme and everyone was asked to come in their favorite team colors....so of course...Norah and Daddy wore Panthers! I have no orange...I know...bad Clemson grad...so I wore red and black for Denny's Georgia!
