Finn has Arrived!!

Well I brought Finn home today! I left work at 2 and it was an easy 2 hour drive there, took like 20 minutes to get him and sign the paperwork and 2 hours back. Norah was so excited when she saw him. Everytime Jeff and I tried to hold him...she would come over and take him! She was so cute as she kept saying "Finn likes me"...yes, he does! Finn fell asleep about 15 minutes ago...I think he is worn out! I take him to the vet in the morning to get checked out. He is a sweet dog (so far)! Here are some pics...I took a good many but thought I would spare you and only show a few. Oh yeah...I think Daddy likes him too! And Ranger gave him the okay too.

Well I'm off to see if I can move him from the dog bed to the crate!

Finn has Arrived!!

No pic post...boring...I know...

Just a quick update...I was so excited to see baby girl on Sunday (and Jeff too!)...I swear she looked different...bigger or more grown up! I can't believe I didn't see her from Wednesday to Sunday. Well I got the pet supplies this weekend at Petsmart and we are getting super excited to get our new puppies! I definitely feel behind still from the trip to Vegas...I've gotta get the laundry and cleaning caught up. I did start a new book "Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet" by Jamie Ford...I've heard great things about it. Well I'm off to get the kitchen straightened and then to bed. Next post...pictures for sure! Oh yeah...I've been slack in the running department since last week. I hope to get back on track tomorrow!

No pic post...boring...I know...

I'm Back!

Well I got back late last night instead of this morning! Yippee! My boss ended up paying extra and changing our plane tickets. I was so happy! The trip was exhausting. It was one of those conferences where you were up at 6 am and it was non-stop all day until like 11 pm...with no free time. The weather was bad on the night of the planned dinner at the Ghost Bar so they moved our group to the Moon Bar which is still at the Palms. It was really cool and had an amazing view. They had dinner there for us and open bar. They had this magician (not what you are thinking) that walked around doing stuff...he was like Simon Baker's character on the Mentalist...he did some tricks but he was more of a mind guy and would know stuff about people. It was really cool! After that wrapped up...we went to the Playboy club!! I have always wanted to go since I used to watch "Girls Next Door" tv show. It was pretty cool! I then volunteered to take home someone that had a little too much to drink in a cab...let's just say that the next day...there were a couple people hurting at the conference. I didn't have much to drink but I just didn't sleep well and combined with time change...I was so tired! So I had planned to take lots of pics but didn't do a good job! I did get pics of my room at Planet Hollywood.

I did watch "Food Inc" the movie on the plane on my IPOD and it was really interesting. I haven't eaten meat in a few weeks already but it definitely reinforces that when you eat food...really try to eat organic and local! Trust me. I also got to read on the plane and finished "The Castaways" (not my favorite of the ones I have read by Elin Hilderbrand) and "Snow Flower and the Secret Fan" by Lisa See...I really liked this book...it was really good. Now what will I read next...

Vegas would have been a really fun place to go to when I was younger and with a group...but being on a work trip...everything was planned out so you really didn't get to do what you wanted to do. Also it was smokey and I never saw the outside! Don't really have a desire to go back anytime soon....

One positive about being in Vegas was getting ready...those of you that have kids will get this...but to get ready in the morning and before dinner without anyone calling for you....and I took my time getting ready...it was great!!!

So Jeff and Norah went to the beach this weekend to visit Nini! Norah was super excited to go...so I'm by myself till tomorrow! I miss them so much! I did get to sleep in this morning and then took a nap this afternoon...it was heavenly! I did run some errands...Costco, Grocery...ran into Melissa..Hey Melissa!! and her cute twin boys!

Tomorrow I'm going shopping for Finn's stuff at Petsmart...he comes home to us next Saturday...I'm so excited! Well I'm off to bed but here are some pics of Norah that Jeff took with his phone...I thought for phone pics they came out pretty good. I can't wait to see them tomorrow!! Now I'm off to bed!

Jeff and Nini said that Norah is having a blast at the beach! They went out to eat tonight at High Hammock and she made a new friend with another little girl eating there! How cute!! :)

Vegas Time!

Two posts in one day!!

Well I just got a pic of Darcy so had to do another post! These pics got a little out of order...oops. We went to lunch with the Hoppe family to celebrate Mr. Hoppe's 78th birthday! Panthers player Steve Smith was eating there too with his son...sorry no pic of that...but it is always so neat to see someone famous in person...they look so normal!! Here are the pics from today....

Quick Update: Pictures of Finn

I just got some updated photos of our little Finn! He is the lighter one (silver looking) puppy in the pics. They aren't very good pics but you can still see the cute guy! He is around 6 weeks old in these pictures. Can't wait to get him home! :) Hopefully we will get updated Darcy pics today that I'll try to upload too!

Quick Update: Pictures of Finn

I love the weekends!!!

So I wasn't a very good blogger this week and I didn't do so well taking pics either! Jeff finished the patio last weekend and it looks awesome! He did a fabulous job and we enjoyed sitting out there in the great weather. He has a few odds and ends to do around the perimeter and once done I'll take a pic to post on here for everyone to see. Here is a pic from last weekend of Norah enjoying sitting on the patio!! (Don't you love the shades!)

This week was a really busy week for me at work so I loved when the weekend got here! Our boss let us go early on Friday (Love leaving early!) and we met up with our friends and their girls at Brixx Pizza in Blakeney to eat dinner and then let the girls run around a bit. There was a ton of people out there and the weather was great. Here is a pic of Norah and Harper at dinner...aren't they the cutest!!

I must say that I live for the weekends and I love when we don't have a lot of plans and can just chill out! Jeff took Norah to her first swim lesson this morning at the Y and he said that she did great! Then they had lunch together...he is a sweet daddy! So I had the morning off and ran a lot of errands...it is amazing what you can get done in three hours by yourself! Well I did get to run and and walk this week like normal. I didn't run today till like 3ish and it was a little warm once I got going in the sun...definitely like running in the early morning better! I am going to try to run tomorrow and Monday...then walk on Tuesday...then I leave for Vegas on Wednesday for work. I did get the itinerary for the trip and we have dinner Thursday night at the Ghost Bar in the Palms....anyone been there? Well I'm off to get a couple things done and then to bed. Jeff went out with some friends tonight so I'm just chillin' by myself.

P.S. We are getting really excited about our new puppies!!! I should get Finn on May 1st or so and then Darcy a month after that!!! :)

I love the weekends!!!

Easter Pics

I'm so happy it is Friday! It was a struggle to get through this week. Since I didn't feel good most of the week...I never unpacked our bags, did laundry or even really hit up the grocery store. But last night I started feeling better and got some of those things done...

Right now Hubby Jeff is being fabulous and working on the patio...he is determined to finish it tonight so we can start to enjoy it! I'll definitely take a photo once he is done! I am supposed to run the 10K tomorrow here in Charlotte...and actually was really excited about it as I planned to really try to "race" it and see how fast I could do it. But since I haven't run this week as I can't breathe thru my nose...I don't think I'm going to do it tomorrow. :( If I don't do it, I might still try to run in the morning. I haven't run all week and I'm so ready to get back to it.

On another note...here are the pics from Easter Day I promised...I still can't believe this is all I took while we were at the beach. I need to get better about taking my camera with me at all times!

Easter Pics

We're back...sorta...

We are back from the beach but can't get back into the swing of things yet. For the last 32 years...I have not had any allergies...all of sudden I feel awful...I take it that it is all this pollen that is out of control. Or I'm getting sick. Either way I don't feel so hot.

I was a bad picture taker while at the beach...I forgot my camera on Thursday when we went on the beach and there would have been the cutest pics of Norah! Then Friday...Jeff took Norah on the beach and I forgot to give him my camera!! I did get pics of Norah on Easter...I'll post soon.

Also the other BIG NEWS!! We have decided to add to our family (I know what you are thinking)....we are getting two new puppies instead of just one!! We are getting a mini schnauzer (Name should be Finn)...this puppy is from the same place I got Fritz from. He was born on March 3 and we should get him the first of May. The labradoodle (Name should be Darcy) was born April 4...Easter! We should get him early June. We are super excited!

Well since I feel miserable and can't function...I'm off to bed. I promise to post some new pics and give more details about our beach weekend soon!
