Yo!

Good Morning! Saturday was a busy and fun day (AND HOT!)! First...Jeff called me Friday night and while he was at the Taste of Aiken he ran into Curtis. See when we got married about 6 years ago...we were having such a blast at our reception that we didn't leave when planned...so my mom got the bartender to take us to the hotel in her car. We were so drunk that Curtis, the bartender, who we have never met before...had to walk us to our room...literally open the door for us and put our stuff in there. I think if it wasn't for Curtis...we probably wouldn't even have found our room!!! Anyway...we never got to see Curtis again to thank him until Jeff saw him Friday night!!

Here is a pic of Jeff and Curits (sorry it is blurry...it was taken with Jeff's phone). So thank you! Curtis for helping us out on our wedding night...we really appreciated it! :)

So again....my pics are out of order...I'm so bad about uploading them backwards...oh well. This is Norah last night on Ranger....he is really sweet but has gotten old...he is 13 1/2 yrs old!

This is Jeff on his new toy courtesy of Frankie! Notice he wears ear plugs and drinks beer while he cuts the grass....gotta love it! Thanks mom for the lawn mower...it is great!

Norah and I went to the Y pool yesterday and met up with Christie and her girls, Harper and Perry. And Crista was there with her boys, Michael and Bo. This is a pic of Norah (right), Harper (middle) and Perry (left). So cute!! Harper is about 5 months older than Norah and they have been friends since they were babies...I can't believe how now they are "big" girls and not babies anymore. Time has flown by!

So as you can see if pics...Jeff had a lot of fun Friday night with Denny (my step-dad) at the Taste of Aiken. He came back on Saturday afternoon. Norah and I went on a stroller ride Saturday morning and then hit the pool. In the afternoon, we played with all the neighbors so I sat on their decks and watched her. Then I got the worst headache...3 Ibuprofen didn't touch it so I went to bed early. I did make a salad and an easy version of shrimp scampi for dinner.

So today we haven't decided what the day will be like yet...I'll keep ya posted!

Yo!

Friday...YEAH!!!

Another start to a weekend...love the weekend! No posting happened this week as it was slightly crazy...but then again....every week is crazy these days! Monday...work (J and me) and school (Norah) and I did the 30 Day Shred DVD...started feeling like I had a summer head cold. Tuesday....walk with neighbor...work and school...Norah had "water day" (this will be every Tuesday I think in the summer). So she went to school in her bathing suit and took a change of clothes for the day. Wednesday...feeling the head cold...work and school...came home and got a 30 minute power nap and then off to dinner with my neighbors to celebrate Sarah's Birthday!!! We are a little late in our celebration...but better late than never! I hated that I wasn't feeling so great but it was still fun! I love my neighbors...they ROCK!! Thursday I got a 2 mile walk in and was feeling much better....work and school action as usual. Today I ran this morning and then school and work. I actually was at work today by myself so it was so quiet!

When I got off work I rented Norah "The Princess and the Frog" out of Redbox, picked her up from school and we headed to Costco. Picked up some stuff and then headed home. We ate dinner and then watched the movie...and bed time for baby girl! She liked the movie!

Jeff went out of town tonight to stay with my step-dad in Graniteville...they were going to the taste of Aiken tonight....which should be fun! Tomorrow Jeff is headed back with a lawnmower!! My mom had one that they weren't using...so she was super fabulous and is going to let us have it!! YEAH!

Well on the agenda tomorrow is pool time at the Y with my baby girl! Can't wait!

They crack me up! They are so freakin' cute!! Oh yeah...and Darcy hasn't gotten up the last few nights so I think we are officially over getting up at night...YES! Darcy is 10 weeks old this weekend and Finn is 14 weeks...crazy! And they are getting bigger! I think I'll give them a bath tomorrow.

These are my fabulous neighbors! Meredith is on the far left and Sarah is in the middle....why am I clutching my bag like it is about to fall...strange! We went to Hickory Tavern in Ballantyne...I like that place and it makes me ready for football season to start!

Friday...YEAH!!!

I don't want the weekend to end....

I so wish the weekend wouldn't end! I dread going to work tomorrow as I love being home with the family. Got up early this morning and hit the grocery store to get Jeff a boston butt so he could cook it all day. Then we headed to Wally World and got Norah a fabulous new pool! Then we spent the rest of the day cleaning and just hanging out. We made dinner for Jeff's parents..BBQ (with my mom's famous BBQ sauce...P.S. mom we are out...can you make us some more!?), mac-n-cheese, baked beans and slaw (my in-laws made this.) It was great (I didn't eat any meat either!) Now we are chillin' out and I am about to walk the dogs and get ready for bed.

I don't want the weekend to end....

I love the weekends!!

I live for the weekends...and love every minute of them! Darcy did really well last night and only got up once. Finn, of course, has slept through the night since we got him...so I'm hoping in another week Darcy will be there too. I did run and then bike this morning...it was super "sticky" outside. I definitely do better running when it is like 20 degrees than 80 degrees and 100% humidity!

I love running when I do it and started to think about the races I could do this year. I am hoping to do the half-marathon in October in Myrtle Beach and then I would like to do one in December. Next year I would like to do 2-3 half-marathons and then....drum roll...I might do a marathon in 2012? We'll see...

So next we took baby girl to the Y swimming pool and had a great time. My pictures I uploaded are in the wrong order...but you get the idea!

So cute! I didn't rub in the ole' sunscreen very well! Oops!

We ran into a friend of mine, Crista, and her boys. We were having a great time and after about 45 minutes the fire alarm went off! So everyone had to leave the pool area. So we decided to just go ahead and leave. Of course the alarm was nothing but oh well! We came home and all took naps! Jeff went to get his haircut...it looks fabulous! Then we just hung out in the backyard with some neighbors!

I made some homemade Popsicles with strawberries, blueberries, bananas and almond milk. They really liked them! Well after we straightened some and ate some take out from PeiWei....we have been watching some random movies on tv...I just walked to dogs down the street...and now I'm ready for bed. Tomorrow is all about cleaning, Jeff is cooking some BBQ, Jeff's parents are eating dinner with us, and gearing up for another work week! Night!

I love the weekends!!

Saturday morning...

So Wednesday I stayed home with baby girl and it was great...not that she was sick part...but staying home with her. I miss being a stay at home mom. Since she wasn't feeling so good we went on a 3 mile stroller ride and when we got back....this is the pic I took of her sleeping!

So back to Wednesday..while Norah napped I did the Jillian Michaels 30 day shred DVD. I really liked it as it was 20 minutes and I could feel it the next day. I'm definitely going to try to do this one a couple times a week. So Wednesday night I already had plans to meet up with some ladies for a quick bite to eat and then to see Sex and the City 2. We went to City Tavern at Stonecrest (ended up being Wednesday wine night...glass a wine for $4...perfect!). We all got salads and wine...and during this time...it was a stormin' outside!

So then we went to the movies. I thought it was ok...it was kinda depressing and made me feel old! I guess since I actually watched the original series when it was actually on HBO and they were young and carefree...now they had reality hit. Glad I saw it but nothing I would watch again. It will definitely make you love your hubby more! Plus it was long...like 2 1/2 hours. Got home at 11 pm...which is late for me!!

Darcy has had bathroom issues and was up 4 times Wednesday night! Poor thing! Thursday morning came early and it was off to work. Friday was another work day...came home and Jeff got me dinner from Zoe's (love this place...salmon kabob..yummy!). So after Norah went to bed I decided to take the dogs on their first official walk. They did so well! I walked them down the street and back...then dropped them off and I went for a run. I don't love to run at night especially when the humidity is like 400% but I wanted to do something...it was great! I find that if I don't do something exercise wise everyday or close to...I feel blah.

So today...well we are hoping to take Norah to the pool at the Y but I guess it will depend on the weather...can we say...I hate the rain. Really can we have like a day, maybe two where it doesn't rain. I'm so over it. And then maybe a family dinner out tonight? We did try for a babysitter for tonight but we waited too late and no luck. Also I think I might try to run, bike and do DVD?? We'll see what I can squeeze in for the day. Well I hope everyone has a happy Saturday!

Saturday morning...

Baby Girl is Sick!

We are the sick house around here. Norah has Strep now. Jeff stayed home with her yesterday and took her to the doctor and I am staying home with her today. I hate when she is sick..poor thing! Sunday night she didn't sleep well as she didn't feel good at all..and Darcy got up a few times too...I think he would hear her coughing and stuff on the monitor and wake up. Last night..Norah was on her medicine so she slept through the night and Darcy only got up once! I also took Darcy to his first vet appointment yesterday and all is well! He already weighs 7 1/2 lbs at 8 wks! He has been really good and is so cute! He and Finn are already the best of buddies.

Well my neighbor and I switched up yesterday and walked at 8:30 pm instead of in the morning. Today I might see if baby girl wants to go on a stroller ride so she can get some fresh air. No pics for this post...sorry!

Baby Girl is Sick!

Memorial Day = Rain Day

So it has been raining for 6 hours straight....yuck! I'm so over it...especially since I have two puppies that I am sure would love to be playing in the yard. This morning I was ready to go for a run and was actually going to go for at least 4 miles this morning...pretty excited about it. However, my sweet baby girl asked if she could go running with me...and who can refuse that cute face?! So Norah went in the stroller with me...I probably haven't taken her in the stroller since I went back to work in August. She is a little tall for it...her knees were jacked up! But she loved it and we went for a 3 miles walk. I was going to try to run but considering I was pushing a good 40 lbs...I decided a walk was perfect. The minute we got back...it started raining and hasn't stopped.

Yesterday I ran and did the grocery shopping (for the week...I hope) and hit up Trader Joes, EarthFare, and Harris Teeter. I also went to Lowes and got some flowers which Norah helped me plant in some planters. I'm so glad I got it done yesterday! Then we came back and Jeff and the neighbor put up a tent that we borrowed from a co-worker of mine. We are debating whether to go camping sometime soon and thought we would just make sure we knew how to put a tent together. Let's say it took a little longer to put up then planned but it is up and the kids had fun playing in it. We also set up the baby swimming pool and that was a hit with the kids too.

Jeff and I grilled out last night..turkey burger for him...veggie burger for me and lots of grilled veggies...it was super yummy!

Well it is hard to believe that tomorrow is June! Norah will be three in June...whoa! Also Ashley had her baby girl today....everyone is doing well! Norah may be getting sick...please don't!! And Darcy is on track now! The first night I had to get up with him at 1:30 am...but last night he slept the whole night through! He is doing fine in his crate and no crying. I take him to the vet tomorrow. So far it has been pretty normal having 3 dogs!

Well keep your fingers crossed that Norah just has a summer cold or something and nothing more. I pumped her up with a smoothie (blueberries, strawberries, banana, spinach, almond milk) we shared it and it was yummy! Also I made sure she had her vitamin.

Well it was strange not going to the beach for Memorial Day but it was really nice to have three days at home too! Also I need a shout out to some May birthdays lately in Jeff's family....his brother Glenn's birthday was May 21, Niece Allyson's 16th birthday was May 29 and Jeff's brother Allan's is today. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
