Is it really only Tuesday?

Well Sunday it didn't rain all day like the weather people kept saying. So we would go outside in spurts. We decided Norah needed to practice her Easter egg hunting skills as they were having an egg hunt at school on Monday. So we "hid" a bunch of plastic eggs in the backyard and she had a blast finding them. It was cute! Then later the neighbors came over and we hid them a couple of times until Norah had a melt down. She was going for the same egg as William and he got there first...you know when you are 2...that is pretty devastating! :) Anyway...no more progress on patio on Sunday...due to weather being strange and hubby said he didn't feel so good.

Here comes Sunday night and Jeff gets a fever....Monday....Jeff has fever and doesn't feel good. He actually stayed home in bed all day...which he rarely ever does. I made him go to the Minute Clinic at CVS (that is a long story in itself...I'll spare the details) and he has strep throat. He still has a fever Monday night but now has drugs. Well Tuesday...he isn't any better. So he is home again. He still has his fever now. I hate that he is sick! We are like the sick house these days!! Well this has thrown our week a little. One...our beach trip is still on but the days we are going are changing. Two...patio will not be finished this week or weekend. Oh well...roll with the punches.

I did run on the treadmill (raining outside) Monday morning before work and then walked this morning with my neighbor before work. I try to run Mon, Wed, Fri, and Sat. and walk on Tues and Thurs. I want to add Yoga to do on Sundays and may look for some kind of Yoga cards or something that I could just mimic the poses. I definitely feel "tight" after running for the week and really need to work on stretching. If anyone has any Yoga cards they like...pass on the information.

Tonight after Norah ate her dinner...she was on the couch and asked me to get her "blankey" and "Whitey Bear" (I know real original names) and I said "No, you can go get it." Well she got up and told me "I am not happy with you!" and stomped out of the room to get it. I was dying laughing! She was so serious!

Well hubby is still in bed so keep your fingers crossed that he feels better tomorrow! I need to go finish up laundry and straighten the house.

On another note...I have gotten a few comments from other bloggers and I love it! I have looked at each of their blogs and it has been great! Thanks for the comments and I do not know how to reply to them yet...gotta figure that out!

Twilight...

The rest of the week....

Let's see..since I left off...Wednesday...this pic is of Norah trying to ride in the front seat on the way to school...I don't think so! :) But she is so cute!!!
Wednesday...ran 3 miles...Jeff went to gym. I did run with a running skirt on with 7" compression shorts underneath and loved it. May have to get more of this combo! Thursday...walked with my Neighbor in the morning before work, Jeff went out with his friends that night to Braswell's to watch some basketball. Friday came...yeah! Worked and Friday night we watched The Blind Side...I thought it was a great movie. It made you want to be a better person and hope that there were more good people in the world out there. I definitely had some tears and appreciated my life more.

Saturday...first my mom went to a 8 am pilates class!! Go Mom!! She is so good about going to Pilates lately and to get up so early on a Saturday too...yeah! I'm proud of you! Jeff started on phase 2 of the patio...see pic...

He is doing a great job and hopefully it will be done soon..of course it is supposed to rain tomorrow. Yuck! :(

I did run today about 5 miles....I could definitely feel a difference of the temperature. Usually I don't even take Gu with me less than 6 miles but with things heating up...I think I will have to take one if I'm over 4 miles. I went to the Greenway around 2 pm today and it wasn't as crowded as it usually is...but I did see lots of dogs and there was one that was walking where its back legs were on a wheelchairish kind of thing...it was sweet.

So I went out tonight with the ladies...Shannon, Julie and Melissa to a restaurant called "Customshop" in Charlotte. It was really good and I had the best time! It is so great to get out with just girls! Here are some pics! By the way...I could live off cheese and wine...yummy!

(even though she tries to tell me she is slow like me)..but it would still be so fun to have someone there and to talk about training and stuff!!) ;)

Well I guess that is it for now...I'm off to bed. Tomorrow if it does rain...I need to start packing for the family as we are headed to the beach for Easter...yeah! Talk to ya'll soon!

The rest of the week....

Random Stuff Tuesday

Well thank goodness Norah is feeling better! Yeah! Let's see...got up early and walked with my neighbor before work. Went to work...during lunch I had to hit up CVS to have Norah's medicine flavored because she spit it all out this morning saying it was "yucky"...fabulous. Then I hit up dropping a dress off for Norah to be monogrammed for Easter. I got the dress last year so I hope it fits! After work...I picked up baby girl from school and she had a great day! Got home and Jeff headed out to the gym. I made dinner and now we are chillin'. Trying to get Jeff to watch "New Moon" tonight with me....yes...I've already watched it...and I got a no go on that one!! Might have to watch it by myself in bed! (Yes...I know I'm a dork!)

So running stuff...I really wanted to do my next half marathon with Krishna in June for the Zooma Annapolis. But it is on a Sunday and with all the days I've taken this month alone for Norah sick days...I can't take the Monday after the race off...which I would need to travel. Boo!

But I think I have found another half marathon the same weekend but the race is on Saturday in Hickory, NC which is only an hour or so away. I know nothing about Hickory or the race....so if anyone has any ideas about it or scoop on it...please let me know!!! Jeff is telling me it is going to be hilly...we'll see! :) I'm also trying to talk Jeff into running it...but no luck so far.

So another random thing to share...wanted to show you some of my new loves...

I know the pic isn't that great but oh well. The magic bullet, which my co-worker gave me for my birthday...she rocks!...has been the best thing for making smoothies...Jeff and I are smoothie King and Queen here! Almond butter with roasted flaxseeds from trader joes...I eat this one on an apple for a snack and it is super yummy! And the fat free vanilla organic greek yogurt from trader joes...I add some granola and this has been my go to lunch these days! Anyway...thought I would share!

Well I'm off to get Norah in her PJs and off to bed....and maybe watch New Moon...again! :)

Random Stuff Tuesday

Update from Doctor

Norah has an ear infection in each ear...AGAIN! And her tonsils are really swollen so she may have strep. They gave her another antibiotic and she keeps saying that her stomach hurts...which the doctor said is probably because the poor thing has taken so many antibiotics in the last few weeks...so we got her the liquid form of the Probiotics that are in yogurt and he said to get her to try to eat a yogurt a day...he said this should help her stomach feel better. Daddy Jeff is home with her now! I so hope this is the end of all her sickness for awhile. She is such a trooper though!!

Update from Doctor

Weekend...not as planned...

So Friday...Norah's fever got to 103.1...but I kept thinking it was a 24 hour bug or something. So I just watched her and loved on her...she layed around and took it easy. Once Jeff got home...I went for a real quick run (2 miles) to just get out of the house for a second. We ordered pizza Friday night and just chilled.

Saturday we got up and I took Norah's temperature and it was fine. So I thought...yeah it was just a bug or something...well put on running clothes. And Norah and I went outside some to check out Jeff's project....

Norah seemed to be okay and just hung out doing little things in the yard...but soon she didn't seem so hot. We went inside and I took her temperature....fever time...in the 102 range again. So I didn't want to leave her to run since Jeff was outside. So she went down for a nap and I went to run errands...Target...got New Moon DVD (Yippee!), hit up EarthFare and Trader Joe's. Time I got home..she was up. So we hung out low key all afternoon since she had a fever all day. Poor thing. Saturday night...Jeff was still working on the patio...he was seriously working on it till like 11 pm!! Meanwhile...I was watching New Moon!! So no run for me on Saturday.

Sunday...woke up...Norah has a fever!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! So basically we hang out...Norah ends up taking her nap early at noon and sleeps for 3 hours. She woke up in a pool of sweat where she sweated out that fever. So the rest of the afternoon she seemed better but still not great. We got rain here today so Jeff covered up his progress on the patio and will have to finish it this week. When Norah is sick, I always feel like I don't want to leave her in case something happens so I didn't go run outside this morning. So then it was raining...no choice but to hit the treadmill. I did it and I felt so much better afterwards. I miss it when I can't go running or do something...it makes me grouchy.

So tomorrow's plan so far is that I will stay home in the morning and take Norah to doctor...please let me get an early appointment. Then Jeff will come home at lunch and take over so I can go to work. Crazy!!!!

So our weekend didn't go as planned. I hate that Norah is sick again...I feel so bad for her. She also missed her friends' birthday party on Saturday too! Well I guess I'm off to bed. I did finish the book Sugar Queen last week...it was a cute, easy read. I haven't decided what to start on next...as I have a lot of goodies in my "to be read" pile. Also I am signed up to run a 10K on April 10 and had planned to be have worked to a point where I could make a time goal and get "faster." But with the Norah being sick the last couple of weeks...I haven't run as much as I should be. But slow or slower...I will run it and it will be fun!

Keep your fingers crossed that Norah just has a bug and will feel better tomorrow! And that the rain goes away so Jeff can finish the patio!

Weekend...not as planned...

Sick Day...Again

Yep...my baby girl is sick...again. She woke up this morning with 102.4 fever. She was just sick 2 weeks ago! Ahhhhhhh! This is when daycare sucks big time...I feel like she is sick all the time! Anyway...hopefully it is just a bug and maybe with some rest today and this weekend...she will be good to go. She has another birthday party tomorrow that now it is looking like she won't be able to go to...She seems to be sick for all the birthday parties :(

Yesterday she had her PJ party at school celebrating all the birthdays. Most of the kids in her class have turned 3 already or turn three in the next couple of weeks. So they decided to have one big party for everyone. Norah is the youngest in her class since she won't be 3 until June. It was a sign that she wasn't feeling so great at the party when she only took like a bite or two of her cookie. So here is lots of pics from the party. you can tell that they all have their PJs on!

So I gave Norah some Motrin which seemed to help with the fever some. I may have to take her to the grocery store this morning as our outing for the day. I did get my hair trimmed last night and talked about my grays! I think I might have to get my hair highlighted or something soon to help cover it. Getting older...sucks! My friend Meredyth is on her way to go on a cruise today...lucky girl! I'm going to try to work our during Norah's nap today...and get a long run in tomorrow. I would love to check out some running sunglasses this weekend too but we'll see baby girl's status. Keep your fingers crossed that Norah feels better! Well I hope everyone has a fabulous weekend.
