Sick Day...Again

Yep...my baby girl is sick...again. She woke up this morning with 102.4 fever. She was just sick 2 weeks ago! Ahhhhhhh! This is when daycare sucks big time...I feel like she is sick all the time! Anyway...hopefully it is just a bug and maybe with some rest today and this weekend...she will be good to go. She has another birthday party tomorrow that now it is looking like she won't be able to go to...She seems to be sick for all the birthday parties :(

Yesterday she had her PJ party at school celebrating all the birthdays. Most of the kids in her class have turned 3 already or turn three in the next couple of weeks. So they decided to have one big party for everyone. Norah is the youngest in her class since she won't be 3 until June. It was a sign that she wasn't feeling so great at the party when she only took like a bite or two of her cookie. So here is lots of pics from the party. you can tell that they all have their PJs on!

These last two pics of Norah are when she played "pin the birthday hat on Dora"...it was really cute!

So I gave Norah some Motrin which seemed to help with the fever some. I may have to take her to the grocery store this morning as our outing for the day. I did get my hair trimmed last night and talked about my grays! I think I might have to get my hair highlighted or something soon to help cover it. Getting older...sucks! My friend Meredyth is on her way to go on a cruise today...lucky girl! I'm going to try to work our during Norah's nap today...and get a long run in tomorrow. I would love to check out some running sunglasses this weekend too but we'll see baby girl's status. Keep your fingers crossed that Norah feels better! Well I hope everyone has a fabulous weekend.

Sick Day...Again

Slacker...

Sorry...I've been a slacker and haven't posted in a little while. I planned on posting this weekend but I just forgot! So anyway...here is the latest. To catch ya'll up...last Friday I got to go to the Sardis Pres. Church consignment sale early due to my fab friend Christie. I got Norah some trucks to play with outside, DVDs (including Finding Nemo), and two outfits for less that $30...you can't beat that! Then we headed to Harper's to eat as the cute family that we are :) ...and they have these new interactive tables....basically the table was cut out and this computer screen was in it. So Norah could just drag her finger across the screen and it was like drawing! It was so great! She was so entertained!

Saturday I ran and it was great and Jeff hit the gym. We actually cleaned and then got to play outside some but then it rained some later...so we watched Finding Nemo...I had never seen it and it was cute! I did watch Up in the Air with George Clooney during Norah's nap...it was good but wasn't great like I was expecting. Then Saturday night...it was yummy Turkey burgers by Chef Jeff again...so good! And we had a new wine which was yummy!

Sunday...Outside time with Norah. Then Jeff hacked the cable line in the yard while trying to remove some monkey grass...so we had to call the ole' cable people out. So no tv or computer during Norah's nap for me!! But I got to read my book so that was great! Jeff went to a funeral and Norah and I hung out here. Just chilled out!

Monday....ran in the morning....work but the best part was coming home and after Norah ate dinner we played outside with our neighbors from like 6 pm until 7:30 pm and it was light outside!!! I love it being lighter later...but my early mornings are really dark now!

Tuesday...early morning walk with my neighbor and just work and school for this bunch!

Today...Happy St. Patty's Day! Norah went to school in a cute green and white polka dot dress and pink leggings....and green shoes! But this is what she had on when I picked her up...

This is Norah in action once she saw me! They said she spilled something on her dress the first 10 minutes of school this morning...so they had to put her spare shirt on...but she still has on green shoes at least!!

Tomorrow Norah has to wear her PJs to school for a PJ Party they are having. Hopefully I'll get some cute pics of that to post!

Oh yeah...I got my new running shoes in and they are great! No more blisters so far! And it is good they are a different color from my old ones as I wear the old ones for walking and I can tell which one is which really fast!

And for those of you who are like me and Twilight obsessed (I am so Team Edward)...New Moon comes on DVD Saturday...I swear I might go to Target like first thing on Saturday to buy it!! I'm not afraid to shove the 12 yr old girl out of the way to get my video. I do heart Edward! :) (And yes I've already seen it but I can't wait to watch it again!!)

Slacker...

Quick Post for Meredyth...

This is a quick post for MB in ATL...I forgot to tell ya'll that when I ran at the Greenway on Sunday...there was this guy with a shirt on that said "Go Ugly Early"...I chuckled out loud...that so could have been a "phrase of the night" right along with "Horseshack"... (Sorry everyone...inside joke!)
Maybe this should be my new slogan!

Quick Post for Meredyth...

Another Tuesday...

Let's see...Sunday was a strange day....we tried to motivate but we couldn't get in gear fully. I did go for a run at the Greenway and on my way saw Crista and Mike and their super cute boys! But after that Jeff and I started on yard work but then seemed to get side tracked. I wanted to go visit a friend of mine (Hey Christie...sorry I'm a slacker!) but couldn't get moving.

Well we did watch two movies this past weekend...The Time Traveler's Wife (thought it was sweet and sad...I haven't read the book but I might now...I could tell they probably left a lot out of the movie) and Inglourious Basterds (We really liked this (I could have done without all the gore) but I thought it was really good and Brad Pitt made me laugh out loud!) We started the Informant with Matt Damon but we never finished it...wasn't that exciting what we saw.

Monday came and went...nothing too exciting there. But it was Norah's first day back at school in a week so I was very excited when I picked her up and she had earned a STAR for the day. They just started this star system and only like half the class got one and she was one of them...now can she keep it up? :)

I miss baby girl so much during the day so I like when she has had a good day at school. And now that the weather is getting warmer and fabulous (I'm lovin' the spring like weather!) they get to go outside more which is awesome. Jeff hit the gym on Monday and I took the day off...so ready for my shoes to get here!

Today met my Super Great Neighbor for our morning walk at 5:45 am and we were saying how in just one more week our mornings will start being lighter...how exciting. I took some pics of Norah on the way to school this morning. The first pic she is singing part of the song..."if you are happy and you know it"

This next pic is when they say "If you are happy and you know it, hug a friend" and she is hugging herself and being silly!! She is so cute and precious!

I did say I would post a pic of cute Fritz and here is one I found. This is right before Christmas of 2008. I was trying to get a pic of Norah and the dogs for the Christmas card. I miss my Fritz!

Well I am off to bed now to read a magazine. I'm behind on reading my books lately...just out of time but hope to get back on schedule this week. Until the next post...

Another Tuesday...

Lazy Day...

This Saturday started off pretty lazy....we didn't even get out of PJs till lunch! But we made it up by...I went for a run and J went to the Y to work out...even N went out and played this afternoon.

We got sandwiches from EarthFare for lunch...highly recommend as you get this big sandwich (your choice) grilled and blue tortilla chips for $5.99...yum. For dinner Jeff grilled turkey burgers (also from EarthFare) and asparagus (Costco...they are always the biggest ones you can find!) and we ate the burgers with avocado, hummus and salsa....it was the best! I told J that this may become the new Sat. night meal!

So the last couple runs I have gotten a blister in the same spot and after running today my arches are hurting so I think I need new shoes. Well one of the blogs I read...The Skinny Runner...link on the side over there...gave this discount code...

So until then, I have to run in the oldies. Boo!

Lazy Day...

TGIF!!!

I know...I know...I'm a slacker poster this week. This week has been wild. I stayed home with baby girl on Monday, then Jeff stayed home on Tuesday, then Wednesday we took her to school...then they called me (whole 'nother story)...Jeff, Mrs. Hoppe, and I each watched her on Wednesday afternoon, my mom watched her on Thursday (thanks Nini for making the drive!), and today we have a babysitter watching her. Plus my work has been busy this week especially since I've been the only one here for most of the latter part of the week! So needless to say, I'm so glad it is Friday!!!

So for those of you that knew my cute Fritz...I sure do miss him! It is lonely without him in the house. We have decided to get another dog and if all works out...we will be getting "Mr. Darcy" in June. Here is a pic of his mom and dad! (The white one is Sami and that is the mommy and the white and brown one is Triton, the dad!)...They are labradoodles....Aren't they too cute! If anyone has any advice with Labradoodles...I would love to hear it! I'll have to get a pic of Fritz to put on here too...he was the best!

Well I have still been super stoked about the half-marathon last weekend and can't wait for my next one...I really want to run this one in Annapolis in June with Krishna (probably not with her but behind her...) ;) but I still am working on whether I can take a day off work then or not.

I haven't worked out this week so far...yikes! It has been crazy! But tonight I'm going to try to run like 2 miles or so and then run on Sat and Sun. The funny thing is now I know I can get out the door and just run...so weird because I remember when I used to only be able to run like 2 minutes or something. Just goes to show...practice, practice, practice!

Jeff has still been hitting up the gym this week! I am trying to get him excited about running a half-marathon with me in October. I think he is almost on board! Well I hope to have some weekend posts...so stay tuned...

TGIF!!!

Sick Day....

So Norah woke up today and told me "I don't feel good. My ear, throat, tummy hurt." She has had a bad cough lately too...so I stayed home today and took her to the doctor. The earliest appt. I could get was 11:50 am...Norah has walking pneumonia and ear infection in both ears. Poor thing! I hate when she is sick...I feel so bad for her! But it is amazing how good she was this weekend and everything with what she has. So I had to get her two antibiotics and then we go back next Monday to check out her lungs. She has to stay home from school tomorrow too. So I had to give her a sucker since she was so good today. Plus...she won't really eat anything....

On other news, Jeff went to the gym tonight but I'm still taking today off. I hope everyone had a Happy Monday!
